Description

So this is a picture of my first session playing D&D with a group of friends down at my University. I should give context....
Basically the rest of my group (A human bard, Lizardfolk fighter, human archer, human rouge, and elven/fey druid) was taken in by the "Holy" Order of Paladins of the City and placed in it's dungeons. There they met my character Dwain Grundell; a elven-appearing spritly fellow who quickly befriended the group. Shortly after, the enemy of the group and one of the campaign's main antagonists; Greeny appeared and sicked his Jersey Devil (been drawing that a lot lately) pet on us. The first this it did was breath hellfire on most of us, the human archer, Wolvy, and human rogue escaped the blast. Everyone else was burned within an inch of their lives and was also cursed by the damn fire. My guy (bottom corner) quickly turned invisible as we tried to fight the beast off...course it could teleport inside people...Luckily, the druid of the group had a pet bulette, who she summoned in the nick of time to aid us. But not only did she summon it, she did a battle prayer and succeeded her role, her god made the bulette two size classes bigger. It grabbed the Jersey Devil in its mouth and thrashed it about, the devil only just barely got away. Meanwhile the shear size of the bulette started to cause the infrastructure of the Paladin temple to start to collapse in, the high priest fell with his bed through the floor close by to us. One of my friends playing an Npc Paladin came to the dungeon door to see what was going on. Our Druid panicked and told the bulette to grab her, and that's what it did, grabbed her in it's mouth. Battered and bruised we made our retreat back the way the bulette came and out of the city.
Some funny things to note: The point of the encounter was to have the beast kill off the human rouge due to the player not wanting to play any more. But she didn't get a scratch on her the entire time. Not only that, but after the first breath weapon attack, the person playing the beast as an NPC was told by the DM not to use it again out of fear of killing us all in a single stroke. XD
I do not own D&D or the characters and creatures here except my guy.
